If you've been following Bop Canvases for a while, you might have noticed something.
Most of our products are built around life's meaningful moments—a pregnancy, a wedding, a baby's first year.
So when we launched a Day Book for doctors, quite a few people asked,
"How did a stationery brand end up making something like this?"
The answer starts with someone very close to me.
My sister-in-law is a doctor, and like many doctors, she carries a small day book with her every single day. It goes wherever she goes—during rounds, OPD, ward visits, and everything in between.

One day I picked it up.
It wasn't a bad notebook.
It worked exactly as it was supposed to.
But looking at it made me wonder...
Why are doctors, who dedicate years of their lives to caring for others, still carrying the same generic notebooks that anyone can buy off a shelf?
For a profession that demands so much dedication, I felt they deserved something that felt like it was designed especially for them.
That thought stayed with me for days.
At Bop Canvases, every product starts the same way—with a conversation around design.
Before we think about manufacturing, pricing, or packaging, we ask ourselves one question:
"Can thoughtful design make this experience better?"
This time, the answer felt obvious.
Doctors already carried day books.
Nobody needed to convince them to use one.
What was missing was a day book that actually felt like it belonged to them.
So I decided to make one.
The first Doctor's Day Book wasn't created as a product we planned to sell.
It was a gift.

I wanted to create something my sister-in-law would enjoy carrying every day. Something that reflected her profession instead of looking like another plain notebook.
We designed covers inspired by the medical profession, made sure it fit comfortably inside a white coat pocket, and focused on making it practical enough for everyday hospital life.
When I gave it to her, she loved it.
That could have been the end of the story.
But it wasn't.
Her colleagues noticed it.
Medical students started asking where they could get one.
Junior doctors wanted one too.
The same question kept coming up.
"Where did you find this?"
That's when we realised we hadn't created something just for one person.
We had discovered a gap that had been hiding in plain sight.
Doctors used day books every day, yet there were almost no thoughtfully designed options made specifically for them.
As far as we knew, no Indian stationery brand had reimagined the traditional doctor's day book with a design-first approach.
That gave us the confidence to launch it on our official website and also the retailer store near the medical college & hospital

Today, one of my favourite things is seeing photos from doctors and medical students using our Day Book in hospitals, clinics, and medical colleges across the country.
Every photo reminds me of that ordinary little notebook I picked up one day.
It's funny how something so small can lead to something much bigger.
If you're a doctor or a medical student, I hope our Day Book becomes one of those little things that makes your day just a bit better.
A notebook you'll enjoy carrying, reach for without thinking, and maybe even smile at during a long shift.
Because that's always been our goal at Bop Canvases.
To create products where thoughtful design isn't an extra.
It's the foundation.
Sometimes, the smallest products end up carrying the biggest stories.
With love,
